30 for 30: Lance

I was a teen when the whole LIVESTRONG thing took over the world, so it was interesting watching this documentary about Lance Armstrong as an adult.

I thought this was an interesting, nuanced observation from cancer survivor Lindsay Beck:

Lance’s impact on the world of cancer doesn’t excuse the doping. Equally as important, doping doesn’t erase his impact on the world of cancer. I feel like everyone wants to lump them together and throw them all out because everyone wants it to be black and white. But the truth is, it’s gray. I truly believe if you were diagnosed with cancer in America today, your experience is better than it was pre-Lance.
